The Nike SB Dunk High “Reverse Skunk” is an extremely rare shoe that reverses the equally desirable “Skunk” colorway from 2010. Nike SB’s most notable “4/20” release came on April 20, 2010 in the form of the “Skunk” Dunk. The shoe was released exclusively through independent skate shops in limited quantities. Dressed in a color scheme saluting the green and purple strands of marijuana, the “Skunk” is one of the most heralded Dunks ever. Here, the “Reverse Skunk” is branded as an “unofficial” 10th Anniversary colorway. Hairy purple suede in a light and darker shade of purple covers the entire upper, save for the washed-out green suede Swoosh hit on the mid-panel. Special numerical branding on the heel underscores the shoe’s limited production. Dark purple cotton laces sit atop a tonal mesh tongue. The green nylon tongue tab displays an orange “Nike SB” insignia. Like the original “Skunk,” a dazed skunk appears printed on the insole, only this time the little animal sports a considerable beard suggesting that it’s getting on in years. Release date: April 20, 2020.
