The Nike SB Dunk High “Unlucky” is a limited edition skate shoe released by Nike’s skate brand back in 2004. This early SB Dunk was limited to 1300 pairs and was joined by an equally rare “Lucky” colorway that played on the theme of superstition. The design’s black-and-orange color scheme furthers the “unlucky” motif while referring to the unofficial colors of Halloween. Buttery cuts of black leather are overlaid on the forefoot, eyelets, collar, and heel. The same material can be found on the Swoosh branding, as well. Each panel is outlined in subtle orange contrast stitching. An orange Nike logo is printed on the branding tag of the black mesh tongue. Like Nike SB Dunk models of this era, “fat” laces, for lack of a better term, provide an upgrade over standard laces and a small orange embroidered “13” logo is stitched onto the forefoot.
