Famed chef and restauranteur David Chang had an opportunity to design a Nike Dunk SB High inspired by his NYC-based eatery Momofuku Noodle Bar. The sneaker is inspired by the restaurant’s unconventional approach to kitchen dress – chefs wear dark gray as opposed to the typical whites and blues associated with top-tier French cuisine. Chang outfits the upper in a look that suggests an apron. The numbers “163” and “207” on the sock liners references the addresses of his Fuku and Ssäm Bar restaurants in NYC, respectively. The white midsole/gum outsole combo gives the tonal look some balance. Momofuku’s famed peach logo appears on the heel, with additional branding on the tongue, cements the collab.
